Old Las Palmas

The Old Las Palmas neighborhood is frequently referred to as the ultimate Palm Springs, CA address. Formerly a citrus grove, the Old Las Palmas neighborhood basically includes the area between downtown Palm Springs and the mountains. Since Old Las Palmas is located within walking distance to downtown Palm Springs, access to dining, shopping and many Palm Springs attractions is very convenient.

Spectacular homes are located on one-half acre lots or larger and several have been designed by famous architects such as William Cody, Donald Wexler, Palmer & Krisel, Paul R. Williams, A. Quincy Jones, and E. Stewart Williams.

Some of the well-known celebrities that have lived in Old Las Palmas include Barbara Streisand, Dinah Shore, Elizabeth Taylor, Liberace, Sidney Sheldon, George Hamilton, Mary Martin, Donna Reed, Alan Ladd, William Powell, Rona Barrett, Rudy Vallee, Harold Robbins, George Randolph Hearst, Kirk Douglas, Kitty Carlisle, Jack Warner, Lily Tomlin and many others.

Today, Old Las Palmas is recognized as one of the premier locations in Palm Springs and many of the older estates and homes are being renovated to restore them to their former glory.
